Monday, March 2nd, 2009…the best workshops at my university are always in cantonese… at least i thought so when i checked my mails today, particular one with the title: “Ways to Happiness - please apply now!” … well, who wouldn’t apply immedeatly?! but then i had to recognize that instruction language is not a one i’m able to talk …
for all cantonese speakers…or listeners… the flyer to this interesting sounding event:

…ah yes… and as we are already with the topic of cantonese … one hong kong girl stated today during class, that foreigners would call hong kong people “Honkies” (like “yankees” was the somewhat explanation) … i never heard that before … even though i talk to some foreigners aka ghostfaces (how cantonese call foreigners) …
enough nonsense? no?!
finally i was talking to one guy in my programm who is from singapore, i don’t remember how we finally ended up with this topic, but he told me that the singaporean punishment for graffiti is whiping … for sure not the cream… somehow this sounds a bit funny to me, even though i can imagine it being everything else than that if it actually happens …
