The idea is to make a documentary based on food, so initially I wanted to collect one complete week of food of different people - in different places, with different occupation and so on …. as I had to figure out later, by starting with this … it’s actually not so easy to take a picture of every meal during one week. Sometimes I forgot my camera, or I simply forgot to use it and so on …. so now after three weeks I made it to have one complete week without gap …
judging from the small feedback I received from other people, they were facing similar problems … or simply found it too bothering ….
however, I don’t give up so easily. So I will post my week of food and anybody who finds it interesting shall feel free to do the same and send me the pictures, so that i can make a nice collection and publish them together …
Please!!!
There are not much guidelines… basically just pictures of all food consumption during one week … u can include drinks or leave it … u can provide descriptions or write whole stories or leave it (but at least i need the weekday for each meal) u can use any kind of camera: analog, digital, mobile… doesn’t matter, but of course the better the quality and resolution the better … now my example:
::: 1 German in Hong Kong Foodweek :::
MONDAY

poor breakfast: before rushing on ferry: thuna sandwiches and cold can coffee

indian take-away dinner from chungking mansion (on the ferry): channa paneer, 1 samosa, 1 potato something, 2 plain parantha
TUESDAY

breakfast drink: lemon ice tea…

extremely heavy breakfast : 8 inch hotdog…

… and fried fish with fruit salad (sounds a bit weired, is a bit weired)

evening snack: the last leftovers from my selfimported food (feta, olives and ham); tuna, cheddar, toast and butter from hong kong…

dinner: just noodles with pesto
WEDNESDAY

breakfast: well, i really tried to avoid it, but 5 minutes before the ferry leaves there is hardly any alternative, except waiting much longer…

dinner: another victim of convenieance, salmon flake bowl with rice at the shopping mall …

…let’s make it spicy then…
THURSDAY

huge breakfast: japanese udon in soup with fried fish and cheese baked dumplings

lunch: somewhere i shouldn’t eat… this tasty turkey breast sandwich with honey green tea…

instant dinner: instant shrimp ramen noodles with hot water
FRIDAY

dinner: shit, remembered too late to take the picture … it looks great before destroying the aestetic configuration on the plate by eating it …. Thai Shrimp paste rice with meat floss, sausage and egg..

dinner: take away back home; shrimp chowmein…
SATURDAY

dinner: thai again, but different restaurant … basil minced beef rice and…

…padthai with chicken

dinner: o’s favourite … sweet n’ sour … and..

…garoupa with vegetable and sauce … i didn’t like it… kind of “fish-chop” a lot of huge bones everywhere (didn’t even know fish can have so much of it..
SUNDAY

brunch drink: ice coffee (… this part of the dish i can order in cantonese.. yeah!)

Brunch: vietnamese springrolls … (not sure though, english menu says “vinmamese springroll”)

…clubsandwiches …

… and sausage with half cooked sunshine eggs … well with these half cooked eggs it seems a general phenomenon on this island, so i always try to remeber which shops cook them proper and which not … and for this one I simply forgot…

selfmade dinner: finally took some time for cooking something healthy … german sausage with potato salad (modified recipie, because some ingredients are always hard to get)
that’s it …. amazing, no?
so feel free to send me the pictures to pk[at]trash25.com, or if any questions about it then also…
