As background, PCCW:

what does this mean then? well i know already from former experience with german companies dealing with “communication services” that in many cases it is communication-companies facing the biggest issues in communication …. particularly with their clients.

However, I have a new flat and I want internet. That means I am potential client. So for this group of people it shouldn’t be very difficult to get in touch with a company providing that service as it means money for them.

Somehow I couldn’t really find a proper option for new or potential clients on the PCCW website, so I checked for a telephone hotline number…. and found it. On the website it says, that this hotline is availabe between 9 am to 9 pm …. a little bit weak for the leading phone company in hk, but they also have a 24h hotline for premium clients … but right now i am not client at all so i called the first hotline:

hmm… i thought maybe i can just try another combination …

ok, a last try:

…strange somehow …. so now  i wondered what they actually meant with this busy network all the time …. the busy hotline network?? or maybe everybody went home already? …. it is a mystery for me …. and i find it strange to face these issue, even though i’m not even there client yet….

das wochenende widmete sich erstlinieg dem umzug…. gar nich so einfach mit fähre und ohne auto. spassig is auch, dass man für das “auf-die-fähre-laden” nur gute 5 minuten hat, wobei über den gleichen weg zur selben zeit die passagiere ein und aussteigen. hier einer unserer gepäckwagen ….

das war allerdings noch auf der festlandseite…. auf die fähre durften wir die karren natürlich nicht mitnehmen …. so war die sache auf der insel dann noch wesentlich lustiger….

aber das gröbste ist nun geschafft….

hier noch das warnschild des monats, gefunden in einem roten minibus (deren fahrstil in der tat des öfteren zum unmut der fahrgäste führt )

…. diese “maiskolben” sah ich kürzlich im supermarkt …. auch wenn hier viele gemüsearten anders aussehen als die europäischen varianten….das hier sieht für mich irgendwie unnatürlich aus …. man belehre mich eines besseren:

letztens am flughafen … für mich sieht das eindeutig nach telefonstreich aus….
